This summer, the Kraljevica Tourist Board is launching “Kraljevica Walk & Stories”, a unique, free guided walk that offers visitors a chance to discover Kraljevica from a fresh perspective – blending cultural heritage, fascinating historical tales, and authentic local experiences.

Following the program’s initial run in Croatian, an English-language edition will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, designed for international visitors eager to explore Kraljevica through its rich history, cultural heritage, and local stories.

Participants will be guided on this two-hour interpretive walk by heritage interpreter Marina Iskra from Šmrika. Through storytelling, she will bring to life the key historical events, legends, and intriguing details that have shaped Kraljevica’s development. In addition to visiting the town’s most famous landmarks, the program includes a tasting of mendulača, a traditional local almond pastry, allowing visitors to experience a taste of the area’s culinary heritage.

We invite all tourism stakeholders, accommodation providers, hospitality professionals, and anyone else in contact with international guests to share information about this program and recommend participation in the interpretive walk.

“Kraljevica Walk & Stories” was created to offer visitors a new way to experience the destination through heritage interpretation and stories that bring the town’s past to life.
