The beginning of August in Kraljevica brings a rich program of cultural, musical, and traditional events that will further enhance the experience of all visitors. Designed for all generations, the programme offers something for everyone, with several events especially tailored to international guests.
The new summer month kicks off on August 1st with a concert by Sanja & Zec, featuring the greatest hits of the legendary Croatian band Novi Fosili. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy timeless classics performed by one of Croatia’s most beloved music groups. Tickets are available at the Kraljevica Visitor Center and at the entrance on the day of the concert.
On August 2nd, visitors can enjoy the unique musical event “Gitara pod stražun”, held on the sea. Guests watching from boats or along the waterfront will experience live music in a truly unforgettable seaside setting.
A special highlight for international visitors is the Kraljevica Walk & Stories interpretive tour, taking place on August 4th in English. During this guided walk, participants will discover Kraljevica’s rich history, cultural heritage, and most famous landmarks through engaging stories, while also tasting the traditional Šmrika sweet delicacy known as mendulača.
The youngest visitors can join the “Mića Tira” program on August 7th, created to preserve local fishing traditions and customs through fun and educational activities specially designed for children.
The highlight of the week comes on August 8th with the traditional “Tira, Tira” festival, which revives the historic tuna fishing tradition. Visitors can enjoy demonstrations of traditional customs, a wide selection of local food and drinks, and an entertaining music programme that completes the authentic atmosphere of this well-known summer event.
