The already mentioned location of Kraljevica was an ideal combination of wind, sea and sun that provided ideal conditions for the development of such branches of tourism.

Hotel Liburnia was built in 1904 by Philipp Ritter von Olschbaur from Vienna in the immediate vicinity of Nova Kraljevica Castle. The building is a classic representative of the Art Nouveau building style and was recognized as one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire Kvarner. Kraljevica was known on the tourist map precisely for this large and luxurious complex. After 1911 and until 1991, the building was used as an orthopedic hospital, after which the deterioration and devastation of the building began, which has been out of service since 1991.

The building of imposing architecture, which calmly looks out over the sea, is today a witness to a bygone era, and hopes to get its new clothes soon.
