Today the City of Kraljevica and the Kraljevica Tourist Board presented the program of this year’s Summer in Kraljevica!
From June 24th to August 31st, 2025, Kraljevica will become the epicenter of cultural, entertainment, and sports events, with as many as forty diverse programs designed for all generations.
This long-standing event, which has for years nurtured tradition and enriched the summer life of Kraljevica’s residents and their always welcome guests, brings an even richer program this year through the Kraljevica Cultural Summer (KKL), a festival within the festival Summer in Kraljevica.
A program to remember
The program begins with the traditional memorial futsal tournament “Bruno Kurolt” and a regatta.
The opening of the Kraljevica Cultural Summer will take place on July 4th at Frankopan Castle with an OPERA GALA NIGHT featuring renowned opera singers such as Emilia Rukavina, Kristina and Robert Kolar, Igor Vlajnić, and the HGD Zvijezda Danica choir.
The lineup also includes a variety of theater performances for children and adults, excellent stand-up shows by Ivan Šarić and the Splicka Scena, as well as the comedy play “Ako sam žena, nisam konj”.
Film lovers will be especially pleased to hear that the open-air summer cinema under the stars is returning, with three film screenings, along with the Bura Film Festival on Sansovo.
In addition, there will be concerts by the outstanding Josipa Lisac and the vocal group Sv. Juraj (HRM), as well as Tedi Spalato, Elvis Stanić, the popular klapa Rišpet with a waterfront performance, and the grand closing concert by Andrina Frleta.
There are also numerous other events: Wine & Art Frankopan, Wine & Calligraphy Frankopan, children’s programs with Marko Sladić, children’s plays, a cabaret show in Uvala Scott, a dog program in Šmrika, and much more.
A taste of Kvarner
Since Kvarner has been awarded the title of European Region of Gastronomy for 2026., visitors can also look forward to a rich culinary experience. The now traditional gastro-music event Fešta od klapunic, also known as the mussel fest (dagnjada), brings a cooking competition and great entertainment on the Kraljevica waterfront, featuring performances by B Band and Giuliano & Diktatori.
The “Tira Tira” tuna festival is the most prominent culinary event in the Kraljevica area. It recreates the traditional tuna hunt with the aim of bringing visitors and tourists closer to the region’s historical heritage and customs, as well as highlighting the importance of the iconic tuna lookouts (tunera) that adorn Bakarac. This year, the festival will also feature a “Tuna Cooking Show” by Stiven Vunić, a well-known Kvarner chef and owner of the Zijavica tavern in Mošćenička Draga. The evening continues with live entertainment by Mauro Staraj & La Banda.
Something for everyone
The program is designed to include all generations, as well as both local and foreign guests, and a special feature of the festival is that almost all city associations are involved in its organization.
This year, as part of Summer in Kraljevica, important religious anniversaries of Kraljevica’s parishes will also be celebrated, making the program even richer.

Admission is free for almost all programs.
From Tuesday, July 1st, ticket sales begin for all programs with an entry fee, including stand-up performances by Ivan Šarić and Splicka Scena, the play “Ako sam žena, nisam konj”, and concerts by Josipa Lisac and Klapa Sv. Juraj. Tickets can be purchased at the Kraljevica Visitor Center, Frankopan Castle, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, tickets for the plays are available online via Eventim.hr, where they are already on sale.
For the Wine & Art Frankopan and Wine & Calligraphy Frankopan programs, registration with the Tourist Board is required.
