On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a special edition of the popular Bark & Hike tour will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, inviting participants and their four-legged companions to explore the forest trails and natural surroundings of Kraljevica.
Dog Unit, a dog training and activity club, in cooperation with the Kraljevica Tourist Board, is organizing a guided walk designed for all generations, nature enthusiasts, outdoor recreation lovers, and their dogs. Participants are invited to gather in front of Nova Kraljevica Castle at 9:30 a.m., with the walk scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
The route is easy and follows forest paths at a relaxed pace, with regular breaks for rest and hydration. Over the course of approximately four hours, participants will enjoy nature, scenic views, and socializing in a laid-back atmosphere, free from rush or pressure.
“Bark & Hike tours were created as an opportunity to spend quality time in nature, with our dogs and in good company. We are especially pleased to celebrate World Tourism Day in Kraljevica this year and introduce participants to its natural and cultural treasures,” say the organizers.
After the walk, the Kraljevica Tourist Board invites participants to join a guided visit to Nova Kraljevica Castle, complementing the outdoor experience with an introduction to the rich cultural heritage of the area.
Participation in the Bark & Hike tour is completely free of charge. The event is open to all age groups and dogs of all breeds and sizes. No previous hiking or long-distance walking experience is required.
