In our community, where the values of togetherness, heritage and local identity are cherished and passed down from generation to generation, it is especially meaningful when the efforts of individuals are recognised by those who work every day for the benefit of the town and its residents. This is exactly what happened with the Boljkovac family. Through the Kraljevica Tourist Board, we recognised and supported their creative work dedicated to preserving tradition through modern 3D souvenirs, reaffirming the importance of encouraging initiatives that enrich the local community.

The Boljkovac family’s story begins with its youngest member, Jan, who set the entire adventure in motion. Jan runs a YouTube channel and is passionate about posing and photographing figurines, also known as toy photography. He wanted a 3D printer so that he could create his own figurines. But one idea changed the direction of their creative journey: making a special gift for a relative, featuring a motif that represented their hometown and region. They were so delighted with the result that they decided to continue exploring the possibilities of 3D printing.

While mother Ingrid and son Jan are the creative force behind the project, father Robert is their constant support and the one who considers how each motif should look, what it should represent, and whether people will recognise the story they want to tell. In this way, their family creativity has grown into a small yet distinctive family project.

Today, they create bookmarks, magnets, keychains, personalised pen holders, phone stands and a variety of stress-relief toys, featuring motifs inspired by local landmarks, symbols and characteristic views of the area. They have brought together their love of tradition, family connection and modern 3D-printing technology. Their souvenirs are a unique example of how heritage can be presented in a contemporary and appealing way.

These are more than just souvenirs – they are small, tangible memories that connect the past and the present, tradition and innovation, family warmth and contemporary design. When a visitor takes one of their creations home, they also take with them a piece of the story of our region – a story told by the hands of one special family, with the support of a town that knows how to recognise and appreciate the value of local creativity.

The family recently presented their creations at Mića Tira, and the next opportunity to purchase these creative souvenirs will be *this Sunday, 6 September 2026, at the 2nd Local Family Farm Fair in Kraljevica.
