This Friday, July 4th, starting at 9:00 PM, the doors of the Castle Nova Kraljevica (Frankopan) will open for “Opera Gala Night”, a festive event marking the official opening of the Kraljevica Cultural Summer 2025.

Prepare for an evening of opera music and a program that blends top-tier artistry with a strong sense of local identity.

Renowned soloists and musical ensembles

“Opera Gala Night” brings a selection of the most beautiful operatic arias and choral pieces by Croatian and international composers, performed by distinguished soloists and respected musical ensembles.

Taking the stage will be soprano Kristina Kolar, a national opera champion with a rich international career, mezzosoprano Emilia Rukavina, a member of the Zagreb Opera known for her warm tone and expressive delivery, tenor Igor Vlajnić, who is also a conductor, composer, and passionate cultural advocate, and baritone Robert Kolar, recognized for his powerful expression and refined stage presence.

At the heart of this gala is the Croatian Music Society “Zvijezda Danica”, one of the oldest active choirs in Croatia, with over 130 years of continuous work.

They will be joined by the female vocal ensemble “Lira” from Rijeka and the male klapa group “Sv. Jakov” from Jadranovo, whose harmonious performances will further enrich the evening.

Pianist Daniela Perković Frleta will provide accompaniment, while the entire program will be conducted by Maestro Frane Frleta, whose artistic direction will unite voices, space, and audience into a cohesive musical experience.

The event is organized by the City of Kraljevica, the Kraljevica Tourist Board, and HGD Zvijezda Danica. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
