With pride and deep gratitude, we can say that another Summer in Kraljevica and Kraljevica Cultural Summer has come to a successful close!

This year’s edition was marked by warm summer days filled with music, performances, laughter, beautiful encounters, and unforgettable evenings that enriched nearly two months of cultural and entertainment events. This now traditional festival once again proved to be a hub for creating memories across generations. Throughout the summer, our town lived in the rhythm of music, joy, creativity, and community.

Concerts to remember

The official opening of the Kraljevica Cultural Summer, held within the historic walls of our beautiful castle, remains etched in memory thanks to the impressive Opera Gala Night. A truly unforgettable evening was created by local and international opera artists – Emilia Rukavina, Kristina and Robert Kolar, Igor Vlajnić, accompanied by the HGD Zvijezda Danica orchestra.

Our summer stage also hosted some of the most renowned names from the Croatian music scene. The legendary Josipa Lisac mesmerized us with her unforgettable performance, while Tedi Spalato moved the audience with his emotional renditions.

The always energetic Elvis Stanić thrilled the crowd, and the harmonious voices of Klapa Sv. Juraj HRM filled the square – and our hearts – with beautiful melodies.

The popular group Rišpet, who performed alongside Venus on the waterfront, had the whole town dancing. No less special was the closing concert by Andrina Frleta, whose angelic voice brought this year’s Summer in Kraljevica and Kraljevica Cultural Summer to a stylish and emotional end.

Laughter, fun, and great times

This year’s program also featured a wide variety of theater performances for both children and adults, with a special highlight being the monodrama “Ako sam žena, nisam konj” that had the audience laughing to tears.

Laughter and positive energy were also brought by the stand-up comedians from the Splicka scena, while film lovers enjoyed the return of the Summer Cinema. The Bura Film Festival, held at Sansovo, offered outstanding open-air screenings under the night sky.

A fantastic atmosphere could also be felt during the popular Wine & Calligraphy and Wine & Art programs at Nova Kraljevica Castle.

Our youngest visitors enjoyed interactive workshops, games, and educational activities as part of the festival. A particular hit this year was the survival Camp by Marko Sladić, along with delightful children’s theater evenings.

A Festival with a special character

This year’s gastronomic offerings were richer than ever, partly due to Kvarner being awarded the title of European region of gastronomy 2026.

The well-known seafood event Fešta od klapunic (the famous “mussel feast”) brought together seafood lovers in a friendly buzara cooking competition, with live performances by B Band and Giuliano & Diktatori heating up the atmosphere.

Perhaps the most impressive event was Fešta od tune – Tira tira, where renowned chef Stiven Vunić orchestrated an exciting tuna cooking show. The evening’s musical entertainment was provided by Mauro Staraj & La Banda, who kept the audience on their feet until late into the night.

Throughout the summer, visitors could also enjoy Capra Food Garden in Uvala Scott, offering creative and delicious street food options.

This year, we also took special care to mark several important religious jubilees of local parishes, with processions and celebrations that united generations and added a spiritual dimension to the festival program.

Not a single evening would have been as special without the extraordinary support of our audience, the selfless dedication of numerous associations and collaborators, and the enthusiasm of all the citizens of Kraljevica and our dear visitors.
