We would like to inform visitors and residents of Kraljevica that works to rehabilitate sections of the maritime domain in the Carovo and Bakarac areas have begun. As a result, part of the “Along the Paths of Our Nonas” walking trail will be temporarily closed.

The works are being carried out along the coastal promenade connecting Kraljevica and Bakarac, with the aim of improving the safety, quality and overall condition of the area and providing a more pleasant experience for all future users.

In the Carovo area, the rehabilitation of the damaged coastal promenade continues. As part of this new phase of works, 290 square metres of the promenade will be refurbished, existing coastal structures and walls will be rehabilitated, new urban amenities and a railing will be installed, and infrastructure for public lighting will be prepared. Due to the works, the section of the promenade between house numbers Carovo 5 and Carovo 13 will be temporarily closed.

At the same time, works are also underway in Bakarac, in Sansovo Bay, where damaged sections of the busy coastal promenade connecting Bakarac and Kraljevica will be restored. The project includes the rehabilitation of the retaining wall, steps and the damaged concrete promenade surface.

While part of the “Along the Paths of Our Nonas” trail is temporarily inaccessible, we invite you to discover the “Our Landscape” walking trail, which leads through the natural and cultural landscapes of the Kraljevica area and offers an opportunity for a pleasant walk, recreation and an exploration of the local heritage.
