The Croatian National Tourist Board, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, has launched the Local Host label—a mark of recognition aimed at highlighting family accommodation that offers guests an authentic and high-quality experience of staying in Croatia.

The label is designed as a guide for identifying hosts whose offer combines traditional Croatian hospitality, preserved local customs, and environmentally and socially responsible business practices. In this way, guests are provided with a unique and authentic experience of family accommodation, which has been present in Croatia for decades, while also encouraging the further development of a sustainable tourism offer that distinguishes Croatia on the global tourism market.

The combination of authenticity, hospitality, trust, and responsibility is increasingly sought after by modern travelers and represents a key advantage of our tourism offer. Staying with a private accommodation provider bearing the Local Host label means guests can expect a personal approach and a rich local experience: the host welcomes you as a friend, shares stories about their region, recommends hidden tourist gems, and ensures that you feel relaxed and “at home.”
