The Association of Private Tourist Renters of Kraljevica (UPTIK) is delighted to organize a small fair of local family farms (OPGs) from our region, which will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the beautiful setting of the Old Town of the Zrinski family, at the Small Castle next to the church.
Around fifteen exhibitors of various profiles will present their products at the fair, ranging from homemade products, traditional delicacies, and natural cosmetics to souvenirs and handicrafts. We are especially pleased by the great interest shown by exhibitors, as well as by the fact that this is the first fair of its kind to be organized in Kraljevica, allowing us to create a new and wonderful tradition of gathering, promoting local values, and strengthening community spirit together. A guest family farm from Dalmatia will also join the fair.
We invite all local residents, guests, and visitors to join us, support the hardworking family farms from our area, and spend a pleasant morning socializing, tasting homemade products, and enjoying the rich offer and warm atmosphere. The musical part of the program will feature KUD Lanterna Kraljevica and other local performers.
As part of the fair, the Kraljevica Tourist Board will also promote the traditional dessert mendulača (almond roll cake), whose preparation is based on an old recipe from Šmrika. Visitors will be able to enjoy free tastings of mendulača, and recipes for making it will also be distributed. Mendulača, known as the sweet taste of Kraljevica, received a new identity in 2026 through the Kvarner – European Region of Gastronomy program.
The organizers’ wish and goal is for these and similar fairs to continue during the summer months at various locations throughout the city, providing both locals and numerous visitors with an authentic experience of Kraljevica, further promoting local products, traditions, and the hardworking people of our region, while enriching the destination’s tourist offer.
The fair is being held with the support of the City of Kraljevica, the Kraljevica Tourist Board, and the parish priest of St. Nicholas Church in Kraljevica.
