The Kraljevica Tourist Board proudly participated in the reception hosted by County Prefect Ivica Lukanović at the headquarters of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for the winners of “The Sunflower Award”, where Kraljevica was recognized with as many as two gold plaques.

These valuable awards are a confirmation of many years of dedicated work, cooperation with the local community, and a strong commitment to developing an authentic, high-quality, and sustainable tourism offer based on the identity of the area, local stories, and unique experiences. We are especially pleased that projects from Kraljevica have been recognized within the context of rural tourism, which is increasingly contributing to the diversity of the tourism offer of Kvarner and Gorski Kotar.

This year, among as many as 269 competitors from seven countries, Kraljevica received awards in the following categories:

Rural Tourism Projects – Gold Plaque for the Nova Kraljevica Castle
Tourist Family Farms – Gold Plaque for OPG Suzi, the Donkey Farm from Šmrika

Participation in the reception was also an opportunity to exchange experiences with other award recipients and a confirmation of strong institutional support for the development of rural tourism in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. We would like to thank the organizers, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and the Croatian Association for Tourism and Rural Development “Klub članova Selo” for recognizing the value of our projects.

These awards are an additional incentive to continue developing Kraljevica as a destination of authentic experiences, where tradition, nature, and modern tourism successfully complement one another.
