At yesterday’s “The Sunflower Award” ceremony, held at the Bjelovar Cultural Centre, Kraljevica achieved remarkable success by winning two gold plaques!

“The Sunflower Award” recognizes the most successful projects, individuals, and destinations that contribute to the development and promotion of rural tourism across Croatia. This year’s event brought together numerous representatives of the tourism sector, local communities, institutions, and media, once again emphasizing the importance of sustainable development and the preservation of rural identity.

Prestigious awards

This year, a record 269 contestants from seven countries applied for the award, and Kraljevica shone in two categories:

Rural Tourism Projects – Gold Plaque for the Nova Kraljevica Castle
Tourist Family Farms – Gold Plaque for OPG Suzi, the Donkey Farm from Šmrika

Both award-winning projects stood out for the quality of the experience they offer to visitors, their authenticity, and their contribution to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of our region.

These prestigious awards represent a strong incentive for further development, enhancement of the offer, and promotion of rural tourism, while confirming that dedication, creativity, and hard work are truly recognized and appreciated.
