On Monday, in the Multimedia Hall of Nova Kraljevica Castle, the exhibition of works from the creative workshop of the Association for the blind of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County was officially opened, under the title “Touch is our reality”.
This impressive exhibition showcases the works of the Association’s members who, through artistic expression, demonstrate how art transcends the boundaries of sight and reveals the power of touch, emotion, and memory.
The creative workshop of the Association for the blind of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County has been continuously active since 2005, involving around 25 members. Under the expert guidance of art educator Mirjana Marin, the workshop enables visually impaired individuals to explore artistic expression, while also encouraging the wider community to foster a more humane attitude toward people with disabilities.
The artworks were created using various techniques and materials, highlighting the tactile abilities that blind individuals rely on in their daily lives.
Over the years, many valuable and original works have emerged from the workshop, some of which have been exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
The opening of this exhibition in our town is yet another confirmation that art is truly accessible to everyone—when the right conditions, support, and space for expression are provided.

The exhibition is open until August 11, 2025, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10 AM and 8 PM.
