The Kraljevica Tourist Board has once again joined the national project of the Croatian National Tourist Board, titled Croatia Naturally Yours. This initiative focuses on promoting sustainable tourism and preserving the natural environment.

One of the key goals of the project is to offset carbon dioxide emissions resulting from the increased number of car visits, which is why the planting of native seedlings and trees is encouraged. The Croatian National Tourist Board provides funding for this effort.

In addition to planting, the initiative includes the care of the seedlings, monitoring their growth, and marking them with the Croatia Naturally Yours sustainable tourism label. It is important to choose native species suited to the local climate and to plant them in visible areas within the destination.

In cooperation with the City of Kraljevica and the company RUS d.o.o., 12 new trees – including almond, domesticated olive, common fig, and downy oak – will be planted in several locations across the city. This project shows that with small but thoughtful steps, we can contribute to the beauty and preservation of nature and make our destination greener!
